Based on a webtoon, “Crushology 101” is set in a university and follows the growth story of Ban Hee Jin (Roh Jeong Eui). After experiencing heartbreak from her disastrous first love, she finds herself entangled with handsome men.
At the script reading, director Kim Ji Hoon, writers Sung So Eun and Yi Seul, and the talented cast, including Roh Jeong Eui, Lee Chae Min, Jo Joon Young, and others, came together for the first time.
Roh Jeong Eui, who plays Ban Hee Jin, the top student in the Sculpture Department at Yein University, kicked off the script reading with her lively energy. She brought her lines to life with a personal touch, and her playful charm had everyone laughing.
Lee Chae Min, who portrays Hwang Jae Yeol, the department representative of Yein University’s Visual Design Department, perfectly captured the character’s tough exterior and gentle nature. By contrasting a sharp tone with soft eyes, he added depth to the role. He proudly led the department chant with a strong voice, earning the respect and support of both his juniors and peers.
Jo Joon Young stole the spotlight as Cha Ji Won, the ideal boyfriend—handsome, charming, and capable—who is also the grandson of a wealthy family. Playfully bickering with Roh Jeong Eui, he effortlessly shifted to a soft gaze, showcasing his character’s appeal.
The strong chemistry between Roh Jeong Eui, Lee Chae Min, and Jo Joon Young brought energy to the drama as the trio navigated a complex web of relationships. Roh Jeong Eui’s sharp, playful lines, paired with the warm smiles from Lee Chae Min and Jo Joon Young, added a fresh and lively touch to the campus romance.
The cast also followed Lee Chae Min’s lead, shouting the department chant together and reacting playfully to Jo Joon Young’s charms. Their nonstop banter kept the energy high and sparked excitement on set. As a result, anticipation is building for the series, a classic campus romance set to captivate with its youthful cast.
