With Chhaava, Bollywood has finally got its biggest hit of 2025 so far. The Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna starrer released in theatres on February 14, 2025. It received mixed reviews from the critics, but the audience has a different story to tell. From emotional reactions to praises to Vicky for his impeccable performance as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, people are enjoying and appreciating every bit of the historical drama. The audience’s love is reflected in the box office numbers as the movie is inching closer to Rs 300 crore.
The day 7 box office collection of Chhaava are now out. On Thursday, Vicky Kaushal’s movie earned over Rs 19 crore at the box office in India. Thus, the total collection of the movie stands at Rs 217.36 crore, entering the 200-crore club. It had an overall 23.42% occupancy in Hindi. The morning shows had 17.25% occupancy with 24.14 and 28.88 percent occupancies in the afternoon and evening shows.
What’s exciting is that worldwide, the Laxman Utekar-directed movie is all set to enter the Rs 300 crore club. So far, the worldwide box office collection of Chhaava is around Rs 250 crore and as reported by Hindustan Times, it will soon cross Rs 270 crore. Even though the numbers are not speeding at the same rate as the Indian numbers, Vicky and Rashmika’s movie is still a hit.
The historical period drama was made on a budget of Rs 130 crore and is already a hit now. It would be interesting to see if it earns Rs 300 crore domestically or not. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Vineet Kumar Singh, Ashutosh Rana and Divya Dutta.
