Apple can have Kendrick Lamar do all the pre–Super Bowl press conferences with journalists they want, but everybody knows the true Lamar interview will be with a fellow rapper. Enter Li’l Timmy Tim. An interview by Timotheé Chalamet, boy prince turned music man, of Super Bowl halftime-show performer Lamar will drop February 7 on Good Morning Football. “I’m most looking forward to, at the Super Bowl halftime show this year, seeing Kendrick, seeing which songs he chose,” Chalamet says, while putting on his deepest bro voice, in the promo. “Because though I get to do this interview, I’ve been given no early access.” We bet Chalamet goes crazy to “King Kunta.”
This is the second time Chalamet has associated himself with football during the A Complete Unknown press tour, following his College GameDay appearance when he showed off his “elite ball knowledge” in a hot-pink parka. If Chalamet knows as much about GNX as he does about Ragin’ Cajuns, then this Pulitzer Prize winner will get to have a good conversation.
