Many films have worked well and earned much more than the original budget. There are many difficulties that they face while filming. It is not an easy process and sometimes some difficult scenes take a very long time. Many times, a scene has to be shot for 10-20 times or more. However, these hurdles turn out to be boon for some movies that finally get the most amazing shots and it becomes a hit film. A similar situation had occurred while shooting for a popular film that released in 1996.
We are talking about Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor’s Raja Hindustani. However, not 10 or 20, the actors had to shoot for a scene in the film for 47 times. They had to shoot for a kissing scene and they had taken 47 retakes. The shooting for the scene went on for three days in Ooty.
It was extremely cold there and both the stars were shivering while shooting for the film. Hence, it took them 47 takes to get the scene right. The budget of the film was only Rs 6 crores but the movie earned a huge amount. The film was a big hit and it earned Rs 78 crores which is more than 10 times of its budget.
The story of Raja Hindustani is around a taxi driver, Raju who falls in love with Aarti. Aamir Khan has received the Best Actor award and Karisma Kapoor has received the Best Actress award. Initially, Aamir Khan had refused to do this film. But, director Dharmesh Darshan had convinced him to do the movie.
Aamir felt that the film would not work but the director believed that it is going to be a big hit. This truly happened and the film was the talk of the town. The songs of the film also became famous and every dialogue won hearts.
