“The Match” has reached a powerful new milestone on the Korean field workplace!On April 21, the Korean Movie Council introduced that as of that morning, “The Match” had formally surpassed 2 million moviegoers. The movie was initially launched on March 26, which means that it took lower than 27 days to hit the two million mark.
“The Match” is just the second Korean movie launched in 2025 to achieve the milestone, following “Hitman 2.” Even together with overseas movies, it’s only the third movie to surpass 2 million moviegoers on the Korean field workplace (following “Hitman 2” and “Mickey 17”).
So as to commemorate the movie’s newest achievement, stars Lee Byung Hun, Go Chang Suk, Hyun Bong Sik, and Moon Jung Hee gathered for a celebratory picture with director Kim Hyung Joo.
