Robert Downey Jr.: Iron Man’s Eye-Opening Impact on Career & Life

Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr. says he’s “grateful” his function as Iron Man and added that his character Tony Stark “opened (his) eyes wider” to the facility of know-how.

The 59-year-old actor led the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) because the character from 2008’s Iron Man till Avengers: Endgame in 2019.

In an interview with Display Rant, he mentioned: “(It is) 17 years I have been related to this iconic superhero … It is the message he represents that I am grateful for. Tony Stark opened my eyes wider to the facility know-how has to affect the world for good, and that is one thing I will carry for the remainder of my life.”

The actor is all set to return to the MCU because the villainous Physician Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. Administrators Joe and Anthony Russo had shared that Downey Jr. is at the moment “so immersed” within the character of Physician Doom, studies Femalefirst.

Talking to Leisure Tonight, Joe mentioned: “It is a very intense course of creating the character. He is so immersed in it. He’s so dialed in.”

Anthony added: “That is the form of artist he’s. That is the form of actor he’s.”

Joe continued: “(Downey Jr.’s) writing backstory, costume concepts … I believe he simply loves actually wealthy three-dimensional characters and I believe he sees an actual alternative right here with that character.”

The Russo brothers teased that the 2026 superhero blockbuster and its sequel Avengers: Secret Wars could be “very radical” and “problem audiences”.

Joe informed The Hollywood Reporter: “I believe we’re at all times searching for new faces as a result of there’s at all times new tales to inform. I believe these films are going to be a shock to folks, we discovered a method into the story that is very thrilling to us however we expect very radical and I believe it should problem audiences.”

The directing duo, who helmed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil Warfare, Avengers: Infinity Warfare and Avengers: Endgame, mentioned they needed “to beat these youthful variations of (themselves)” with Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
