Los Angeles:
Hollywood actor and producer Robert De Niro shall be bestowed with an honorary Palme d’Or award for lifetime achievement on the 78th Cannes Movie Pageant.
In accordance with Cannes’ official web site, De Niro shall be offered with the honourary award on the pageant’s opening ceremony, which can happen on Might 13.
On the next day, Might 14, he will even take part within the masterclass on the stage of the Debussy Theatre.
“I’ve such shut emotions for Pageant de Cannes…Particularly now when there’s a lot on the earth pulling us aside, Cannes brings us collectively, storytellers, filmmakers, followers, and pals. It is like coming residence,” the 81-year-old actor stated in a press release.
He has beforehand served as president of the Cannes jury in 2011.
Cannes 2025 will conclude on Might 24.
