In a collaboration with UNICEF and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the District Sports Office of Pabna organized a significant event to celebrate Drowning Prevention Day in 25th September. The event took place in the conference room of Sahid advocate amin uddin Stadium, Pabna. And saw the participation of children’s, caregivers, local leaders, coaches, and CM.
The District Sports Officer (DSO) Md. Tarekul islam delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the critical importance of swimming as a life-saving skill. He highlighted the role of swimming in preventing drowning incidents and promoting physical fitness among children and every 6 years children must be learned to swimming.
Community members, including children and their caregivers, actively participated in the event, sharing their opinions on the importance of swimming for everyone. They expressed a strong interest in training their children in swimming, recognizing its numerous benefits for safety and health. Adding a personal touch to the event, two children shared their speeches.
The celebration successfully raised awareness about drowning prevention and garnered significant interest from the community to ensure their children receive proper swimming training.
