After taking nearly a year off from the small screen, former Cleveland meteorologist Hollie Strano is back in the spotlight—but this time, she’s making waves on the radio. The Emmy-winning weather reporter, who parted ways with WKYC following a widely publicized off-duty incident, is now providing daily weather updates to listeners in Georgia and Alabama, all while still calling Northeast Ohio home.
Strano expressed her gratitude for this new opportunity, saying she’s “grateful for the chance and excited for what’s ahead.” Even though she’s not on local TV anymore, she’s keeping her presence alive through her podcast, “Abruptly Authentic,” where she opens up about her journey with sobriety, mental health, and the challenges life throws our way.
Her fans and colleagues are rallying around her as she continues to be a voice in the community, even if it’s in a different format. As she embarks on this new chapter, Strano shows us that reinvention can take many surprising forms.
