Happy Gilmore 2 Filmed Across New Jersey: Golf Clubs, Towns & Beaches

Published:

Adam Sandler is back as Happy Gilmore, and this time he’s hitting the greens at real golf courses and iconic spots around New Jersey, trading the Vancouver scenery of the original film for a genuine East Coast vibe

Key filming locations included:

Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club (Bedminster, NJ): This top-notch golf destination, featuring several 18-hole courses, became the backdrop for Happy’s latest tournament. The course was closed for two months to make way for filming.

Montclair Golf Club (Verona/West Orange, NJ): One of the oldest clubhouses in America, Montclair provided another championship setting, with some special appearances from PGA stars.

Farmview Golf Center (Hackettstown, NJ): This is where some quirky mini-golf scenes were shot, showcasing Happy’s unique swing style.

Additional scenes were filmed in various towns across Northern New Jersey, including Montclair, South Orange, Verona, Kearny, Closter, Irvington, and Newark. Some notable local landmarks featured in the film are the Verona Town Hall, Ideal Beach in Middletown, and popular eateries like Steve’s Burgers in Garfield and Goldberg’s Deli in Millburn.

Principal photography kicked off on September 9, 2024, which just so happened to be Sandler’s 58th birthday, and wrapped up on December 10, 2024. To make things easier, Sandler and his family moved to New Jersey during the shoot.
