Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra have teamed up before in Kaminey and Teri Meri Kahani. He also worked with Deepika Padukone in Padmaavat. Shahid starred opposite Kiara Advani in Kabir Singh, and his on-screen pairing with Amrita Rao was showcased in Vivah.
He also mentioned that although he hasn’t danced with Kiara Advani or Katrina Kaif, he thinks they are both amazing dancers. In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Shahid Kapoor was asked which actresses he thinks would be his toughest competition in a dance battle. He named a few, recognising the incredible talent of his fellow stars.
He mentioned, “Priyanka was a very good dancer, Deepika was a very good dancer. I enjoyed dancing with Pooja in this film (Deva). Kiara is a good dancer, but we have not danced together.”
While talking about his Vivah co-star Amrita Rao, Shahid praised her dancing abilities from their previous work together. Shahid added, “I have never done a song with Katrina but she is a fantastic dancer.”

Shahid also recalled an intresting moment from his early career when his co-stars would frequently ask him to calm down with his high-energy dance moves. He shared that they would tell him he was overdoing it, calling it desperate, and advising him to ease up a bit.
Although he understood his co-stars’ concerns, the Deva actor believed his passion for dancing should come first. He often felt he was a better dancer but still respected the importance of syncing with his co-stars’ movements.
This situation came up frequently during the early years of his career, and Shahid admitted that at times, he felt bullied. However, as time passed, he made the decision to stop letting others’ opinions hold him back. He fully embraced his love for dance and chose to give it his all, no longer worried about what anyone else thought.
On the professional front, Shahid Kapoor is ready to captivate audiences with his role as a cop in his upcoming film Deva. This action-packed thriller also features Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati, Pravessh Rana, and Kubbra Sait.
The film is set to hit theaters on January 31, 2025.
