SAN DIEGO — July 27, 2025. The cast and creative team behind Alien: Earth brought an electrifying vibe to their debut at Comic-Con’s Hall H, giving fans an exclusive glimpse into the upcoming sci-fi horror series set right here on Earth.
Showrunner Noah Hawley and star Sydney Chandler opened up on stage about crafting a narrative that intertwines corporate greed, unsettling alien biology, and the emotional journey of their main character, Wendy—a consciousness transferred into an android body. Chandler described her first Comic-Con experience as “mind-blowing,” sharing how stepping into Wendy’s shoes has taught her to embrace change with courage.
Timothy Olyphant, who plays the synthetic mentor Kirsh, shared a funny story: his wife wasn’t too keen on his character’s silver-dyed eyebrows, joking that she might be subconsciously hoping for a second season to flop.
The camaraderie among the cast was evident—Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, and others were seen joking around backstage about their adventures in San Diego and playfully teasing each other about crashing each other’s panels. Their playful chemistry shone through during the live interviews and fan signings that followed the event.
Hawley highlighted that Alien: Earth marks the franchise’s first significant TV project set on our planet. It introduces spine-chilling new alien species beyond the iconic Xenomorph, including the parasitic T. Ocellus, aiming to rekindle the original Alien’s sense of raw terror.
The series is set to premiere on FX and Hulu in the U.S. on August 12, 2025, with international distribution on Disney+ to follow.
