Sky Force starring Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur released on January 24. The movie directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani is high on patriotism. Its release was rightly timed as it hit the theatres just two days ahead of Republic Day. Sky Force managed to get good reviews from all corners. Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya received a thumbs up from all for their acting chops. Even at the box office, the movie is performing well.

Even on day 5, Sky Force maintained a steady run at the box office. Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya‘s film that is a tribute to the greatness of Indian Air Force officers reportedly made around Rs 6.25 crore at the box office on its first Tuesday. As per a report in Pinkvilla, the total box office collection of the film now stands at Rs 78.25 crore. The movie performed well over the first weekend. On day 1, it made around Rs 13.75 crore. On its day 2, i.e., first Saturday, Sky Force minted Rs 23.75 crore. On day 3, i.e., first Sunday, the movie made a whopping Rs 26.50 crore at the box office.
The box office collection of Sky Force is now inching close to Rs 100 crore mark. It is expected that the movie will enter the prestigious Rs 100 crore club before the end of second weekend.
Sky Force is produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios. It is based on the Sargodha airbase attack of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965. Akshay Kumar is essaying the role of Wing Commander Kumar Om Ahuja in this one. Veer Pahariya plays T. Krishna Vijaya aka Tabby. Sara Ali Khan plays Veer’s love interest in the film. Nimrat Kaur is paired with Akshay Kumar. On IMDb, the movie has received a fabulous rating of 7.8 on 10.
